Neutrogena Healthy Skin Liquid Makeup is the first and only drug store foundation that I loved so far. Natural finish with medium to full coverage that lasts at least 4-5 hours, preferably 8 hours is what I expect from my foundation. It is nearly impossible to find one that meets my expectation. However, this one did amazingly well.
Texture (1/3): It is rather runny and not thick at all.
Coverage/ Pigmentation/ Color (2/3): It is medium coverage. Colors have more of pink undertone than yellow, so people who have very yellow undertone might have trouble finding a shade.
Application (2/3): It is very easy to apply. Makeup sponge gives more natural finish, but it gives more dewy finish with foundation brushes. Overall, it is naturally dewy finish that is just perfect alone, but with finishing powder, it could be mattified a little. However, it is not matte at all, even with finishing powder.
Longevity (2/3): It last at least for 4 hours during the summer which is impressive. In colder temperature and with finishing powder and primer, it could definitely lasts 8 hours.
Packaging (1/3): It has a glass bottle without a pump. So it is not travel or pour friendly. I always end up with more than I need, and lack of a pump is not sanitary and user friendly.
Price (3/3): I paid around $13. It is affordable and quality is good for the price.
Overall (2/3): Neutrogena Healthy Skin Liquid Foundation is a great affordable drugstore foundation with natural finish and reasonable coverage. The color selection for those people who have more yellow undertone and inconvenient lack of a pump are the only problems I have. But they are common problems for drugstore foundations. If you like truly matte finish, then I would not suggest this product. However, it does not break me out, which is great for people who have acne prone skin.
